4. Course objectives: To produce graduates who
4.1 Have expertise in and applied knowledge of theories and research and are able to use this to build new bodies of knowledge in the areas of teaching and learning English language.
4.2 Have a patient, open, moral nature and who are able to make difficult moral choices; are public-spirited; and take responsibility for their studies, their work, the economy, society and the environment.
4.3 Have expertise in managing learning and can work effectively with learners and colleagues.
4.4 Have creative problem-solving and negotiating skills; and show leadership in looking for new and practical ways to overcome challenges.
4.5 Have the ability to find suitable ways of meeting problems in academic and professional life and in society generally; have the ability to present these ideas; and have the ability to integrate these ideas in an interdisciplinary fashion to create sustainable development.
4.6 Have a keen interest in following developments in a variety of disciplines; and are committed to life-long self-development.
