4. Course objectives: To produce graduates who
4.1 Have sound morals; have an ethical and positive approach to their work; and have a responsible attitude towards their studies and society.
4.2 Have knowledge of the fundamentals of science and mathematics, particularly in the field of biology and are able to integrate this knowledge to themselves and their careers.
4.3 Have analytical, critical and integrative thinking skills; are able to apply these to scientific theories and the scientific method, particularly with regard to the biological sciences; and are able to apply this to the teaching of biology and so solve problems, create learning experiences, develop learners’ abilities and engage in research.
4.4 Have good inter-personal, leadership and team-working skills; and have a responsible attitude towards themselves and society.
4.5 Have the ability to use information and scientific technologies to research and build new bodies of knowledge in the biological sciences; show discretion in selecting teaching topics; and respond quickly and appropriately to learners.
4.6 Have expertise in managing learning experiences, integrating different learning styles to accommodate different learners’ needs.
